Chapter 1
November 22nd 1892
He watched from the dark alley way as the young girl hurried home in the pouring rain. He'd been watching her for a while now. Sitting by her cracked window at night, listening to her joyous sing, watching as she paced that gigantic empty house waiting for her family to return home after a long days work. Celebraited with her as she had danced and relaxed for her birthday earlier that day. He'd learnt about her traits, and memorised her time table. He knew everything about her from her favorite poem to her first spoken word. He watched her as she'd left her house to feed the horses before putting them into their stables for the night. And he watched her now, his gaze sweeping over her blue and white dress to her soft face. So full of life and hope. Her eyes were the colour of crushed sapphire, sparkling with mischief. Her wierdly silver-grey hair was tucked beneath the hood of her cloak as she hurried towards the warmth of her house. He felt the well known longing sweep over him and knew without a doubt that he could wait no longer. That this was going to be his firs turned. With a flourish he stepped from the alley way and into the girls path, a crude smile twisting his cold lips as he prepared to claim what was rightfully his.
